How to Get to St. George's, Bermuda#
St. George’s is on the easterly end of Bermuda and is reached by road from L.F. Wade International Airport. There is no rail; public buses, ferries and taxis provide the island’s public transport.
L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA): Bermuda’s primary airport is on the western side of the island. Taxis to St. George’s take about 25-35 minutes depending on traffic and cost roughly BMD $35-$50 (Bermudian dollar = US dollar). There is no rail service on the island.
No other major international airports on‑island: If arriving via cruise ship you disembark at St. George’s or Hamilton; transfers will depend on the ship schedule.
Train: Bermuda has no train network.
Bus / Ferry: Public buses connect Hamilton and St. George’s; fares are typically BMD $3.50-$4 per single journey and the trip from Hamilton to St. George’s takes roughly 45-75 minutes depending on route. There is also a passenger ferry service between Hamilton and St. George’s/nearby points at certain times (seasonal/timetable dependent) - ferry fares are similar to bus fares.
How to Get Around St. George's, Bermuda#
There is no rail in Bermuda; arrive at L.F. Wade Airport and continue by taxi, public bus or seasonal ferry. Within St. George’s the town is best explored on foot.

- Ferry (BMD $3.50-$6) - Ferry services operate on some routes, offering a pleasant alternative to bus travel between Hamilton and eastern parishes when operating. Timetables are seasonal and can be affected by weather; check the local ferry schedule in advance.
- Taxi (BMD $35-$50) - Taxis are readily available at the airport and in towns; they are the fastest way to reach St. George’s from the airport (about 25-35 minutes). Taxis are metered but fares are high compared with bus/ferry - good for groups or heavy luggage.
- Bicycle / Scooter - Some visitors rent bicycles or scooters for short trips; note that roads are narrow and hilly in places, and local rules must be followed. Not ideal for crossing long distances with luggage.
