Sacol Island is a small island off the western coast of the Zamboanga Peninsula in southwestern Mindanao, Philippines. It is a local island community noted for coastal fishing and simple beach areas.
The island’s coastline features sandy beaches, mangrove fringes and nearshore fishing grounds used by local residents; excursions are generally day trips or short stays arranged from Zamboanga City. Facilities are basic compared with larger tourist islands and transport is by banca or small ferry.
Sacol is home to small coastal communities that derive livelihoods from fishing and small-scale agriculture; it has not been developed as a major resort area. Local transport connections and services reflect its role as a nearby rural island rather than a primary tourist hub.
Geographically the island lies a few kilometres off the coast of Zamboanga City in western Mindanao and is accessible by short boat transfers when sea conditions permit.
