How to Get to Ruše#
Ruše is easiest reached via Maribor (local) or Ljubljana (national) airports; Maribor is the closest rail hub. Allow extra time for the final short transfer from Maribor into Ruše by local bus or taxi.
Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport (MBX): A small regional airport near Maribor with limited scheduled services. From Maribor city centre you can take a local bus or taxi to nearby Ruše; local buses cost around €2-€3 and take ~20 minutes, taxis ~€10-€15 and 10-15 minutes.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU): Slovenia’s main international airport (about 140 km from Ruše). From LJU take the direct airport shuttle or bus to Ljubljana centre (≈€6-€9, 30-40 min) then intercity train or bus to Maribor (trains ~€9-€15, 2.5-3 hrs).
