Prasat Kravan is a compact 10th-century temple complex in the Angkor area near Siem Reap, Cambodia, notable for its brick construction and carved reliefs. The complex sits close to other mid-period Angkor monuments and is part of the Angkor archaeological zone.
The principal visual feature is a row of five brick towers set on a single platform, each housing a sanctuary and carved decorative elements in sandstone. The site is comparatively small and is usually visited as part of a circuit of nearby temples.
Built in the 10th century during the Angkorian era, the complex reflects the brick-and-sandstone building techniques of that period and includes devotional carvings that illustrate contemporary religious iconography. It has been conserved and examined by archaeologists and heritage managers working in the Angkor area.
The temple is located a short distance east of the Phnom Bakheng hill and is within the greater Siem Reap/Angkor archaeological region in northwestern Cambodia.

How to Get to Prasat Kravan #

Tips for Visiting Prasat Kravan #
- Prasat Kravan is less crowded early in the morning-visit between Angkor Wat and mid-morning to avoid peak flows at Ta Prohm and Bayon.
- Look closely at the five brick towers' bas-reliefs-fragments of Vishnu and Lakshmi remain and the bricks are unusually well arranged.
- Bring a magnifying lens or a good camera to appreciate the surviving lintel carvings embedded in the later walls.
