Phitsanulok Night Bazaar Market

On the east bank of the Nan River in Phitsanulok, this modest night bazaar is worth a stroll before or after dinner for its friendly buzz and riverside bars.

Exploring the Phitsanulok Night Bazaar#

Though nothing like as extensive as the night bazaars in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok’s is a pleasant place for an evening wander. There’s not much in the way of souvenirs - most goods are fashion items and accessories - but the vibe is friendly, and a string of bars facing the river try to drown each other out with their music.

Walk south of the bazaar along the river and you’ll come across restaurants that specialise in ‘flying morning glory’, a spectacle worth watching even if you don’t try it yourself: the cook tosses the stir-fried greens through the air to a waiter who catches them on a plate.
