Running along the east bank of the Nan River between the Naresuan and Ekathotsarot Bridges, this narrow but attractive riverside park fills each evening with locals jogging along the path or working through a communal aerobics session. The street here has been renamed ‘Healthy Street’, and it is easy to see why: turn up after 5pm in anything but shorts and trainers and you will feel decidedly out of place. About half-way along stands an attractive traditional house, divided into three sections and surrounded by a pond, which houses a cafe and a tourist information office.

• Visit late afternoon and early evening when the riverside comes alive - this is the best time for cool temperatures, sunset along the Nan River and local vendors.
• Use the main municipal riverfront entrances close to Phitsanulok city center to join the continuous walking and cycling paths; those access points put you within easy distance of cafes and temples along the river.
• Most visitors treat the park as a quick stop; take time to follow the riverside paths north toward the historic temples (visible from the river) for quieter viewpoints and photo opportunities away from the central lawn.
