How to Get to Pak Shek Kok
Pak Shek Kok is a neighbourhood in Hong Kong's New Territories served by the MTR (East Rail Line) and several bus routes. Arrivals from the airport are straightforward via Airport Express, then interchange to the East Rail Line or buses to reach Pak Shek Kok.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): The primary international gateway. From HKG take the Airport Express or ground transport into the city and then MTR or bus to Sha Tin / Tai Po area; total travel to Pak Shek Kok by public transport is typically under 1-1.5 hours depending on connections.
Other local helipads / heliports: There are no closer commercial airports than HKG for Hong Kong; domestic hops are not applicable.
Train (MTR): Pak Shek Kok is on Hong Kong’s MTR East Rail Line with the Pak Shek Kok station (or nearby University stations depending on line changes). The East Rail Line links to Tai Po Market and Sha Tin; journey times from Kowloon/ Central are approximately 20-40 minutes depending on origin.
Bus / Light Rail: Multiple franchised bus routes and local buses serve the Pak Shek Kok / Sha Tin area, connecting neighbourhoods that the MTR does not serve directly. Buses are frequent and integrated with the Octopus card fare system.
