Kisumu International Airport (KIS): Kisumu is the closest scheduled airport serving western Kenya for Nyamira; domestic flights arrive from Nairobi. From Kisumu you can take a matatu or shared shuttle to Nyamira (via Kisii) - travel time around 1.5-2.5 hours by road.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO): Nairobi’s main airport is the principal international gateway. From Nairobi you can take a domestic flight to Kisumu then continue by road, or travel overland by bus or shuttle: Nairobi-Kisii/Nyamira buses and shuttles typically take 5-7 hours to the Kisii/Nyamira area.
