Mu Ko Lanta National Park is a marine and island national park off the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, covering several islands and adjacent sea areas. The park protects beaches, coral reefs, mangroves and coastal forest across islands including Koh Lanta Yai and Koh Lanta Noi.
Sandy beaches, snorkelling and diving on nearby reefs, simple coastal trails and boat trips between islands. The park is commonly accessed from Krabi province and the main island settlements provide the usual visitor services.
The park was created to conserve both marine and terrestrial coastal environments and to regulate tourism and resource use across the island group. Management focuses on reef protection, mangrove conservation and visitor regulation.
Geographically the park lies off the west coast of southern Thailand in the Andaman Sea, with Koh Lanta Yai the main inhabited island and gateway for visitors.

- Koh Lanta Yai: Koh Lanta Yai - the larger, inhabited island that contains main beaches, settlements and the principal visitor infrastructure for the park area.
- Koh Lanta Noi: Koh Lanta Noi - the smaller island to the north of Koh Lanta Yai which is less developed and contains mangrove and rural landscapes that form part of the park's protected area.
How to Get to Mu Ko Lanta National Park #
From Krabi or Trang, take road transport to Saladan on Ko Lanta Yai, then boats or longtail services to the park’s islands. Regular ferry and speedboat services connect to Ko Lanta from Krabi and Phuket during high season.

- If exploring islands and beaches, arrange boat transfers through licensed operators on Lanta Noi or Lanta Yai to ensure safe and legal access.
