How to Get to Mauren
Mauren is served via Swiss rail hubs and Liechtenstein's compact bus network. The easiest approach is Zurich Airport → train to Sargans/Buchs → bus into Mauren.
Zurich Airport (ZRH): Trains from Zurich take about 1h10-1h30 to Sargans; from there a bus to Mauren/Schaan takes roughly 25-40 minutes. Combined fares are typically CHF 25-40 depending on ticket choices.
St. Gallen-Altenrhein (ACH): Altenrhein flights are limited and seasonal; onward buses via Rheineck and Buchs SG reach Liechtenstein in about 45-70 minutes and cost around CHF 8-15.
Train: Use Sargans or Buchs SG as the main rail access points. Regional trains connect these hubs with Zurich and St. Gallen; transfer to local buses for Mauren.
Bus: PostBus / Liechtenstein buses connect the border stations to Mauren and other towns; journeys are short and inexpensive (roughly CHF 2.5-8).
