How to Get to Balzers#
Balzers lies at the southern end of Liechtenstein and is best reached via Swiss rail to Sargans/Buchs with a final bus or taxi transfer. There is no commercial airport in the country itself.
Zurich Airport (ZRH): Trains from Zurich to Sargans take about 1h10; from Sargans a bus or taxi to Balzers takes roughly 30-45 minutes. Combined fares Zurich → Balzers are commonly CHF 25-45 depending on tickets.
St. Gallen-Altenrhein (ACH): Altenrhein has limited flights; buses via Rheineck and Buchs SG reach Balzers in around 60-90 minutes and cost about CHF 8-20 depending on connections.
Train: Use Sargans and Buchs SG as the closest rail hubs; trains from Zurich and St. Gallen serve those stations. From the rail hubs, local buses or taxis provide onward travel to Balzers.
Bus: PostBus / Liechtenstein buses serve Balzers from the border stations; expect a 25-45 minute bus ride from Sargans with modest fares.
