How to Get to Masis, Armenia#
Masis is a town in Ararat Province south of Yerevan and is most easily reached via Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan). From Yerevan, regional minibuses and buses are the usual, cost-effective way to reach Masis.
Zvartnots International Airport (EVN, Yerevan): Zvartnots is the main international airport serving Ararat Province and Yerevan. From Zvartnots you can take a taxi directly to Masis (about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic) or first travel into Yerevan and continue by bus or minibus; airport taxis vary in price and should be agreed in advance.
Shirak / Others: There are no closer major international airports; Shirak (GYU) near Gyumri is far from Masis and not practical for most visitors to Ararat Province.
Train: Armenia has limited passenger rail services; Yerevan has the main railway station (Yerevan Central). Direct regular rail connections to Masis are not a reliable option for most travelers.
Bus / Marshrutka: The most common way to reach Masis is by marshrutka (minibus) or regional bus from Yerevan. Marshrutkas depart from several Yerevan minibuses stations and take roughly 30-60 minutes depending on route; fares are low and vary by operator.
