How to Get to Mārupe#
Mārupe sits immediately adjacent to Riga International Airport and is easiest reached from Riga by a short taxi or local bus ride. Rail is not a direct option for Mārupe itself-road links from Riga are the practical choice.
Riga International Airport (RIX): Riga is the main airport serving Mārupe (Mārupe municipality is immediately west/southwest of Riga Airport). From RIX it’s a short taxi or local bus ride to Mārupe-typical taxi times are 10-20 minutes and fares around €8-€15.
Liepāja / other regional airports: Other Latvian airports are much further away; most international visitors use Riga and then travel by road to Mārupe.
Train: There is no major passenger rail station inside Mārupe itself; the nearest rail connections are in Riga. Trains from Riga can be used to reach surrounding municipalities, but for Mārupe a bus or taxi from Riga is usually faster.
