How to Get to Lushoto

Kilimanjaro International (JRO): JRO is the closest larger international airport for visitors approaching Lushoto from the north (Moshi/Arusha). From JRO travel overland by bus or car toward Lushoto (4-6+ hours depending on route and stops).
Tanga Airport (TGT) / Tanga port access: Tanga is closer for many travellers; from Tanga town it’s a roughly 3-4 hour road trip to Lushoto through the Usambara range. Flight options to Tanga are limited; most arrivals come via Dar es Salaam (DAR) then road transport.
