How to Get to Leonarisso
Leonarisso is a locality in Famagusta District; Cyprus has no rail network, so arrivals are by air to Larnaca or Paphos and then by road. Expect onward travel by intercity bus, taxi or rental car to reach smaller towns.
Larnaca International Airport (LCA): The closest major international airport to Famagusta District on the Republic of Cyprus side. From LCA you can reach towns in the Famagusta area by intercity bus or taxi; driving takes roughly 40-60 minutes to many eastern localities.
Paphos International Airport (PFO): Further west and used mainly if combining a stay across the island; travel time to Famagusta area is significantly longer and usually not recommended for direct transfers.
Train: Cyprus has no national rail network.
Bus: Intercity bus services (Operated by EMEL in some areas and private carriers elsewhere) link Larnaca, Nicosia and Famagusta towns; there are also local taxi services. Fares for intercity buses are modest (single-digit euros) and journey times depend on exact origin/destination but are typically under 1-2 hours from Larnaca to Famagusta-area towns.
