How to Get to Yialousa

Yialousa (in the Famagusta area) is most practically reached by road from Larnaca International Airport (LCA) or by transfer through northern Cyprus from Ercan. There is no rail service; taxis, private transfers and rental cars are the usual ways to reach the village.

By Air

Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Larnaca is the main international airport serving eastern Cyprus and is commonly used to reach Yialousa (approximately 50-70 minutes by road depending on route and border crossings). From LCA a taxi to Yialousa typically takes around 50-80 minutes; fares vary and some routes cross internal checkpoints, so confirm the route with the driver.

Ercan Airport (ECN): Ercan (served via Turkey) lies closer to northern Famagusta District points; travel via Ercan involves different entry procedures and typically requires a road transfer through northern Cyprus. Many international flights to the north route via Turkey-check visa/entry requirements before travel.
