How to Get to Le Hochet
Le Hochet is reached by road from SSR/MRU airport and via Mauritius' public bus network from Port Louis and Grand Baie. Taxis or a rental car are the fastest ways to get there, while buses are the budget option.
Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU): MRU is the island’s international airport. From MRU you can reach Le Hochet (Pamplemousses District) by taxi or car hire in roughly 35-55 minutes depending on traffic and route.
(No nearer international airport): All international arrivals come through MRU and continue by road to Pamplemousses and Le Hochet.
Train: There is no national passenger rail service for regular use in Mauritius; Le Hochet is not served by train.
Bus: The island’s public bus services run between Port Louis, Grand Baie and towns in Pamplemousses District. Buses are frequent on main routes; check local timetables for specific lines that stop near Le Hochet.
