How to Get to Le Castella#
Le Castella on the Ionian coast is reached via Crotone (regional airport and rail station) or via Lamezia Terme with a longer overland transfer. Local buses and taxis complete the short hop from Crotone to the seaside village.
Crotone Airport (CRV): Crotone has a small regional airport that is the nearest air access for Le Castella; from Crotone town to Le Castella it’s a short drive (about 15-30 minutes). Taxis or car hire are common transfers.
Lamezia Terme Airport (SUF): Lamezia Terme is the larger regional airport serving Calabria; from Lamezia the road transfer to Le Castella takes around 1.5-2 hours by car or a combination of train to Crotone and a short taxi/bus onward transfer.
Train: Crotone has a railway station on the Jonica line (Reggio Calabria-Taranto). From Crotone station a taxi or local bus takes you to Le Castella (about 15-25 minutes).
