Lallmatie in Flacq District is reached via Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport (MRU) with onward travel by taxi or intercity bus. Public buses are inexpensive but slower; taxis give the fastest door-to-door service.

By Air

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International (MRU): The main international airport is MRU (near Plaine Magnien). To Lallmatie (Flacq District) expect a taxi transfer of about 40-60 minutes; typical taxi fares from MRU to the east-central district are in the range 800-1,500 MUR depending on vehicle and time of day. You can also take a public bus from Port Louis or Curepipe that serves Flacq, but expect a longer journey (around 1-1.5 hours including transfers).

By Train & Bus

Train: Mauritius’ rail services are limited to the Metro Express corridor (Port Louis → Rose Hill → Curepipe) and do not reach Lallmatie.
