How to Get to Kobuleti
Kobuleti is most easily reached via Batumi-short train or marshrutka rides from Batumi make it an easy seaside destination. The Black Sea railway provides a comfortable, scenic alternative to minibuses for the coastal hop.
Batumi International Airport (BUS): The closest airport to Kobuleti on Georgia’s Black Sea coast. From Batumi airport take a taxi or marshrutka into Batumi city centre (15-30 minutes) and then continue to Kobuleti by train or minibuses.
Kutaisi International Airport (KUT): Further away and used by some low-cost carriers; ground travel to Kobuleti is longer (typically 2.5-3.5 hours) so Batumi is usually the most practical gateway.
Train: Kobuleti has a railway station on the Black Sea railway running between Batumi and Poti/Tbilisi; local trains are frequent especially in summer and journey times from Batumi are about 30-50 minutes.
Marshrutka / minibus: Frequent minibuses connect Batumi and Kobuleti (about 30-50 minutes depending on traffic). They depart from Batumi bus terminals and are cheap and popular with locals and tourists.
