How to Get to Jam Gadang

Bukittinggi is about 90 km northeast of Padang by road (roughly a 3-4 hour drive on mountain roads). The Jam Gadang sits in the city centre; from the main bus terminal it is a short taxi or becak ride. Local buses and shared taxis connect Bukittinggi with Padang and other Sumatran cities.
