Car rental at SJU is practical for reaching northern coastal towns and exploring local beaches.

Aguadilla (BQN) or regional options: For some northern destinations travelers also consider Rafael Hernández (BQN) if coming from the west, but SJU remains the main international gateway for Barceloneta area arrivals from most origins.

By Train & Bus

Train: Tren Urbano is restricted to the San Juan metro area and does not reach Barceloneta.
