How to Get to Imbéry
Imbéry (Barceloneta area) is most easily reached via SJU followed by a road transfer; public transport is available but limited. A rental car or private transfer gives the best access to coastal towns and local attractions.
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU): Barceloneta and nearby communities like Imbéry are typically accessed via SJU; driving from SJU to Barceloneta takes around 45-70 minutes depending on traffic and costs by taxi or rideshare typically USD 50-90. Car rental at SJU is practical for reaching northern coastal towns and exploring local beaches.
Aguadilla (BQN) or regional options: For some northern destinations travelers also consider Rafael Hernández (BQN) if coming from the west, but SJU remains the main international gateway for Barceloneta area arrivals from most origins.
Train: Tren Urbano is restricted to the San Juan metro area and does not reach Barceloneta.
