How to Get to Hrazdan
Hrazdan is straightforward to reach overland from Yerevan after arriving at Zvartnots Airport; frequent marshrutkas and regional buses connect the towns. Train travel is not a realistic option for this route.
Zvartnots International Airport (EVN): Hrazdan is most easily reached via Zvartnots and then by road. From Zvartnots take the airport bus or taxi to Yerevan and from there minibuses or regional buses head to Hrazdan. Airport-to-Yerevan bus ~300 AMD (30-45 min); taxi ~3,000-7,000 AMD.
Shirak/Gyumri Airport (LWN): Shirak is much farther from Hrazdan and not a practical arrival point for this central/northern town.
Train: Hrazdan is not on a regular passenger rail corridor; the national rail hub remains Yerevan.
Bus / Marshrutka: Regular marshrutkas and buses run between Yerevan and Hrazdan (approx. 40-60 minutes depending on traffic). They depart from central minibus stations in Yerevan and are inexpensive - a practical daily commuting option for locals.
How to Get Around Hrazdan #
Hrazdan’s central area is walkable for short visits, but the town is spread along a valley so some sights and shops are best reached by taxi. Expect industrial areas around the outskirts. Shared minibuses and buses connect Hrazdan with Yerevan and regional towns; fares are inexpensive (a few hundred drams). Taxis are commonly used for local journeys, and a rental car is helpful for exploring the surrounding highlands.
