How to Get to Faetano
Faetano is in the Republic of San Marino; the usual international gateway is Rimini (Federico Fellini, RMI) with rail connections into Rimini Centrale and onward buses to San Marino. Bologna is a secondary option with good rail links to Rimini.
Rimini-Federico Fellini (RMI): The closest airport to Faetano (San Marino) is Rimini’s Federico Fellini Airport. From the airport it’s a short taxi or bus ride to Rimini Centrale (10-20 minutes); taxi fares are typically €15-€30. From Rimini you catch a bus to San Marino (see below).
Bologna-Guglielmo Marconi (BLQ): Bologna is another option for international arrivals. From Bologna take a Trenitalia regional or Intercity train to Rimini (about 1.5-2 hours, fares commonly €10-€25) and then continue by bus to San Marino/Faetano.
Train: The nearest major rail hub is Rimini Centrale (Rimini). Trains from Bologna, Florence and Milan arrive at Rimini; from there you switch to bus for San Marino.
Bus: Regular bus services run from Rimini (bus station near the train station) up to San Marino and connect to municipalities like Faetano. Buses between Rimini and San Marino take roughly 25-40 minutes; expect fares around €2-€4 on the intercity buses that serve San Marino (tickets available at the station or on the bus).
