How to Get to Ersekë
Ersekë is reached by road; most travellers fly into Tirana and continue by intercity bus to Korçë then a local bus or minibus to Ersekë. There is no practical passenger rail connection to the town.
Tirana Mother Teresa Airport (TIA): The nearest major airport. From TIA take a shuttle or bus into Tirana (20-30 minutes) and then an intercity bus toward Korçë; from Korçë change for a local bus to Ersekë (see below).
Ioannina / Thessaloniki (Greece) or Ohrid (North Macedonia) airports: These are cross‑border alternatives for some travellers; expect longer land transfers and border formalities if used.
Train: There is no direct rail service to Ersekë; the Albanian rail network does not serve Korçë/Ersekë reliably for passenger connections.
Bus: Intercity buses depart Tirana for Korçë (journey ~3-4 hours, fares roughly €6-10). From Korçë take a local bus or marshrutka to Ersekë (about 45-75 minutes, fares around €1.5-3). Ersekë’s bus stop (autobus station) is the main arrival point in town.
