How to Get to Dauin
Dauin is a coastal municipality south of Dumaguete on Negros Oriental, best accessed through Dumaguete (Sibulan) Airport. There is no rail service; local jeepneys, tricycles and resort transfers handle most local movement.
Dumaguete (Sibulan) Airport (DGT): The nearest commercial airport for Dauin is Dumaguetee2 Sibulan (DGT). From Dumaguete city its a short 200 minute drive by tricycle, taxi or jeepney to Dauin; many resorts arrange transfers.
Mactane2 Cebu (CEB): Some visitors arrive via Cebu and take a connecting flight or ferry to Dumaguete; transfers add time but broaden flight options. From Cebu, combine a flight to Dumaguete or a ferry plus road transfer to reach Dauin.
Train: There is no intercity passenger rail service to Dauin.
Bus / Jeepney / Tricycle: From Dumaguete city use jeepneys, tricycles or short bus rides to reach Dauin and the coastal dive resorts. Public transport is frequent for short local journeys but less convenient for early-morning dive transfers-many divers prefer pre-arranged pickups.
