  • Tallinja buses (€2.00 per trip) - Tallinja runs the island’s public buses and connects Balzan to Valletta, the airport and other towns. Buses are frequent during the day but can be slower in peak traffic. Buying a Tallinja card or using contactless payment simplifies multiple trips.
  • Taxi (€10-€30) - Taxis are a straightforward option for quick transfers, airport pickups or when buses are less frequent. Fixed fares from the airport to central towns are common; expect roughly €20-€30 to/from the airport.
  • Bolt / ride-hailing (€5-€20) - Bolt operates across Malta and often provides a cheaper, app-based alternative to traditional taxis for short journeys into and around Balzan. Availability is generally good in central areas.
