Zerhoun (Jebel Zerhoun) is a low mountain north of the plains around Meknes in Morocco, notable as the site of the town and pilgrimage centre of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun. The town grew up around the mausoleum of Idris I and remains an important local religious site.
The mountain provides viewpoints over the surrounding agricultural plain and is closely associated with nearby historic sites, most notably the Roman ruins of Volubilis a short distance to the west. The slopes and town see regular religious visitors and pilgrims as well as tourists visiting the region’s archaeology and scenery.
Jebel Zerhoun lies in the Fes-Meknes region, rising immediately north of the plain around Meknes and forming a distinct local landmark adjacent to Volubilis.
