How to Get to Zayed City
Zayed City is a large planned urban development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; commercial air arrivals are handled at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) and onward travel is almost always by road. Public bus networks and taxis serve the wider Abu Dhabi area, but services into newly developing zones may be limited and change as infrastructure is completed.
Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH): Abu Dhabi International is the primary airport serving the emirate. Taxis from AUH to Abu Dhabi city take about 25-45 minutes depending on your destination; metered taxis are widely available at the airport.
Al Ain International Airport (AAN): Al Ain is a secondary airport (further east); it is used mainly for regional flights and private traffic - travel to Zayed City from Al Ain is longer by road.
Train: There is currently no national passenger rail service linking Zayed City directly to other Emirates; rail projects are planned but not in regular service.
Bus: Abu Dhabi Department of Transport operates intercity and city buses. Buses connect Abu Dhabi city with other emirates and suburbs; for journeys into new development areas like Zayed City you should check the Abu Dhabi bus timetables and routes since services evolve as new neighbourhoods open.
