How to Get to Masdar City#
Masdar City is adjacent to Abu Dhabi city and is most easily reached via Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). Taxis and airport shuttles are the most practical ways to get there; Abu Dhabi’s public buses provide a cheaper option.
Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH): The main airport serving Abu Dhabi and Masdar City. Masdar City is a short drive from AUH-taxis take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic; fares are typically in the AED 60-90 range.
Dubai International Airport (DXB): Dubai is an alternative arrival point for international visitors. Driving between Dubai and Masdar City takes roughly 1.5-2 hours by car depending on traffic; taxis and private transfers are common for this longer journey.
Bus: Abu Dhabi’s public bus network links the airport, Abu Dhabi city and Masdar City; routes and frequencies are published by the Department of Transport Abu Dhabi. Buses are an economical option though travel times are longer than taxis.
Shuttle / Hotel transfer: Many hotels and Masdar City organisations run shuttle services to/from the airport and Abu Dhabi city. These are convenient for business travellers and often timed to flights or conference schedules.
