Yemen in November: Weather, Crowds & What to Expect

Tihama (Red Sea coastal plain: Al Hudaydah, Mocha, coastal strip)

By November the plain is pleasantly warm by day and mild at night, one of the better months for travel if you want to avoid extreme heat; mornings have clear visibility for sea views. November cools further with pleasant daytime temperatures and crisp, clear nights - an excellent time to visit Hadhramaut’s historic valley and archaeological sites. Local markets bustle after harvests and camping in wadis is comfortable without the extreme heat of summer, though bring a light jacket for night. This is one of the most traveler-friendly months with reliable road conditions and regular services in regional towns.

Socotra Archipelago

November presents excellent conditions for Socotra - warm, mostly calm seas and moderate winds that make boat trips and island exploration straightforward; it’s one of the island’s peak visitor windows. Coastal snorkeling and marine life spotting improve as waters clear, and inland trails are comfortably warm for multi-hour hikes.
