Vrbnik City
Historic town on Krk island, famous for wine
Perched on a limestone cliff above Kvarner Bay, Vrbnik's narrow streets lead to tiny tasting rooms for Vrbnička žlahtina wine. Fishermen still pull nets from terraces; salt-weathered houses and sea views dominate.
Why Visit Vrbnik?#
Perched on a sheer cliff of Krk island, Vrbnik draws visitors with its compact old town and dramatic sea views. Local žlahtina wine-often called Vrbnicka žlahtina-is a signature attraction, paired with seafood served in family-run konobas. Narrow alleys and stone houses make for atmospheric wandering, and short trips reach pebble coves and scenic coastal paths that underscore the island’s mix of gastronomy, history and Adriatic charm.
