How to Get to Vedi
Vedi is reached by road from Yerevan (Zvartnots Airport) with marshrutkas and taxis the normal onward transport. Armenia's limited passenger rail network means buses/minibuses are the practical option.
Zvartnots International Airport, Yerevan (EVN): Yerevan’s Zvartnots is the main international airport for reaching Vedi (≈30-45 km by road). From Zvartnots you can take a taxi directly to Vedi (about 40-60 minutes depending on traffic) or travel via Yerevan and catch a marshrutka (shared minibus) from the city to Vedi; airport taxi fares to Vedi typically run several thousand Armenian dram (AM₸), while Yerevan→Vedi minibuses are much cheaper.
Gyumri / other regional airports: Gyumri (LWN) is a regional airport too far for routine travel to Vedi; most visitors use Yerevan (Zvartnots) and continue by road transport to Vedi.
Train: Armenia’s passenger rail network is limited and there is no practical regular rail service to Vedi. Rail should not be relied upon for this journey.
Bus / marshrutka: Marshrutkas (shared minibuses) from Yerevan’s main marshrutka stations (for example near Daredevils’ Square / Kilikia area depending on departure point) run to Vedi and nearby communities frequently. These are inexpensive (a few hundred to low thousands AMD) and take roughly 30-60 minutes depending on traffic; taxis provide a faster but costlier alternative for door‑to‑door travel.
