How to Get to Vardenis
Vardenis is reached by road from Yerevan after arriving at Zvartnots Airport; direct rail links are not available so minibuses (marshrutkas) or private transfers are the common options. Expect multi-hour drives and variable schedules in shoulder seasons.
Zvartnots International Airport, Yerevan (EVN): The main international gateway for eastern Armenia. From Yerevan you continue to Vardenis by road - either a marshrutka/minibus from the Kilikia or other long-distance minibus terminal or a private transfer; road time is about 2.5-3 hours depending on route and conditions.
Gavar/Noyemberyan airfields: Local airfields are not used for regular commercial passenger services; Zvartnots remains the practical arrival point for international travellers bound for Vardenis.
