By October the highlands are in their prime for outdoor activity: comfortable daytime conditions, cooler nights and dramatically clearer skies. Bring layered clothing - mornings are cool, but strong sun at mid-day requires sun protection.
Fujairah & the East Coast (Fujairah city, Khor Fakkan, Dibba)

The Hajar mountains nearby are also pleasant for day trips through Wadi Tayyibah and Wadi Al Hayl.
