Umm ar‑Rasas is an archaeological site southeast of Madaba, best reached by road after arriving at Amman's Queen Alia Airport. Public buses to Madaba and short taxi rides from Madaba are the usual approach for independent travelers.
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM): The main international gateway to Amman and central Jordan. From Amman/AMM you can reach Madaba (the nearest town to Umm ar‑Rasas) by taxi or bus in about 30-45 minutes; from Madaba a short taxi ride (10-20 minutes) reaches the Umm ar‑Rasas archaeological site.
Amman Civil Airport / domestic options: There are no closer international airports; Queen Alia is the practical arrival point for visitors to Umm ar‑Rasas.
Train: Jordan does not have a modern passenger rail network for these routes.
