How to Get to Thermi
Thermi is a suburb southeast of Thessaloniki and is easiest to reach via Thessaloniki Airport or the city's rail and bus network. Short taxis, local buses or regional bus lines connect Thermi with Thessaloniki's centre and transport hubs.
Thessaloniki Airport ‘Makedonia’ (SKG): Thessaloniki Airport is the main international gateway for Thermi and the eastern Thessaloniki suburbs (about 10-18 km). From SKG you can take bus X-96/X-93 (or regional urban buses) or a taxi to Thermi; taxi fares are typically €20-€30 and take about 15-25 minutes, while buses take 30-45 minutes depending on route.
Kastoria / Kavala (regional): Regional airports (Kavala KVA, Kastoria KSO) are further away and have limited routes; most visitors use Thessaloniki (SKG) as the convenient international option for Thermi.
Train: Thessaloniki main rail station (Maria Callas / Thessaloniki Railway Station) is the regional rail hub. Trains run to/from Athens and northern Greece; from Thessaloniki station take local buses or a taxi to Thermi (20-30 min).
