How to Get to Satun
Satun (Satun province, Thailand) is usually reached via Hat Yai (HDY) or Trang (TST) with onward minivan/bus connections. For island hopping (Langkawi) use the Pak Bara ferry terminal in Satun province.
Hat Yai International Airport (HDY): Hat Yai is the nearest major airport serving Satun province for domestic and some regional flights. From Hat Yai you can take a minivan or shared van to Satun (Pak Bara/ Satun town) - journey time is roughly 2-3 hours and fares are commonly about 150-350 THB per person depending on service.
Trang Airport (TST): Trang Airport offers domestic flights from Bangkok and can be an alternative for some routes to Satun. From Trang you can catch a bus or minivan to Satun; travel time is around 2.5-4 hours and fares are generally in the 200-400 THB range.
