How to Get to Tavşan Adası

Tavşan Adası is reached by private boat or short local boat services from Princes’ Islands routes out of Istanbul. There is no regular large-ferry service specifically for the islet; visitors commonly hire a boat from Büyükada or request local seacraft at Kadıköy or Kabataş.

Tips for Visiting Tavşan Adası

  • If visiting from Istanbul, take a ferry to the Princes' Islands and then a short private boat to the islet - schedules are irregular.
  • Bring binoculars - the island is small and favoured by seabirds; the views back to Istanbul make for memorable photos at sunset.
  • Respect local rules: many small islets have restricted access during bird-nesting seasons.
