How to Get to Tarará
Tarará is on the eastern edge of Havana province and is reached from José Martí International Airport by road. Private transfer or taxi is the practical way to reach neighbourhood-level destinations in the Havana metro; public buses are lower cost but slower and less predictable.
José Martí International Airport (HAV): Havana’s José Martí is the main international gateway for Tarará (east Havana seaside area). From HAV you can take a taxi or arrange a private transfer to Tarará; the drive is typically around 30-60 minutes depending on traffic and exact coastal location. Prepaid airport taxis and private transfers are common for foreigners.
Regional options: There are no closer international airports; domestic air services in Cuba are limited and not normally used for the Havana area.
Train: Cuba’s rail network offers passenger services on major routes but is not practical for short transfers inside Havana metropolitan area to neighbourhoods like Tarará.
