Cojímar is a coastal neighbourhood of Havana accessible from José Martí International Airport via taxi or transfers into the city, then local buses or taxis to the neighbourhood. Road transport is the practical option for most visitors.
José Martí International Airport (HAV): Havana’s main international airport is the gateway for Cojímar and greater Havana. From the airport you can take a taxi or airport shuttle into Havana city, then continue to Cojímar by taxi or local transport; travel from the airport to central Havana is about 20-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Other domestic flights: Cuba’s domestic air network is limited; most international visitors arrive into HAV and continue by road to coastal neighbourhoods like Cojímar.
Train: Cuba’s rail network is limited for passenger convenience; rail is not the recommended way to reach Cojímar from Havana airport.
