Finca Vigía is the former home of American writer Ernest Hemingway, located in the San Francisco de Paula district near Havana, Cuba. Hemingway purchased the property in 1939 and used it as his principal Cuban residence for much of the mid-20th century.
The property contains the main house, outbuildings and gardened grounds with views over the surrounding countryside. On display are personal items associated with Hemingway and collections such as books and manuscripts; the house operates as a museum under Cuban stewardship.

How to Get to Finca Vigía
Finca Vigía (Hemingway’s house) is located in the San Francisco de Paula area on the outskirts of Havana. The site is most easily reached from central Havana by taxi or organized day tour; the drive takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. There are no frequent direct public buses that most visitors use, so taxis or tour transfers are the common option.
