By Air

Hat Yai International Airport (HDY) / Narathiwat regional airfields: Tanyong Mat (Narathiwat province) is in Thailand’s far south. The nearest commercial airports are Narathiwat Airport (NRQ) and Hat Yai (HDY) depending on service availability. From these airports, taxis or private transfers cover the last leg; travel times vary by airport (typically 1-3 hours).

Bangkok (BKK/DMK): Many visitors fly into Bangkok then take a domestic flight to Narathiwat or Hat Yai, followed by a road transfer to Tanyong Mat. Flight + road is usually much faster than an all‑land journey from Bangkok.

By Train & Bus

Train: The State Railway of Thailand’s southern line serves provinces to the north of Narathiwat, but there is no direct long‑distance train to Tanyong Mat itself; trains terminate in Hat Yai and other major southern hubs.

Bus / Minivan: Long‑distance buses connect Bangkok with southern provinces; for the final leg to Tanyong Mat use regional buses, vans or taxis from Narathiwat or nearby towns. Services can be slower and less frequent than in central Thailand - plan schedules carefully.
