How to Get to Talsi#
Talsi is served via Riga International Airport (RIX) and then by regional bus - the town does not have direct passenger rail service. Buses from Riga are frequent enough for day trips and are the default public-transport option once in Latvia.

Train: There is no direct passenger rail into Talsi - Latvia’s rail network does not serve the town. The nearest larger rail hubs are Tukums and Ventspils for freight/limited services; for most travellers the rail option is not practical.
Bus: Regular regional buses run from Riga Central Bus Station (Rīgas autoosta) to Talsi; several companies operate the route with journey times of roughly 1.5-2 hours. Buses are the most reliable public-transport option to reach the town and cover intercity connections within Kurzeme.
