How to Get to Tai Koo
Tai Koo is a residential and shopping district on Hong Kong Island's eastern shore. The area is best reached from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) then by MTR (Island Line) or taxi; Tai Koo MTR station is the local public-transport hub.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): The fastest way into the city is the Airport Express to central Hong Kong. A single journey on the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station costs HK$115 and takes about 24 minutes; from Hong Kong Station take the MTR Island Line to Tai Koo (another ~6 minutes, MTR fare ~HK$5-7). A taxi from the airport to Tai Koo typically takes 30-40 minutes and costs around HK$300-400 depending on traffic.
Chek Lap Kok / local helipad services: No scheduled passenger helipad services for regular travellers; seaplane/charter options exist only through private operators and should be booked in advance (prices vary).
Train: Tai Koo is served by Tai Koo station on the MTR Island Line (station code I03). Key interchange stations nearby include Quarry Bay (for Tseung Kwan O Line) and Admiralty (interchanges to other lines). Typical single-trip MTR fares to/from central Hong Kong stations are around HK$4-10 and journeys across the island are usually under 20 minutes.
