How to Get to Tai Hang
Tai Hang is a small, mostly residential neighbourhood on the north side of Hong Kong Island best reached via Tin Hau or Causeway Bay MTR stations after arriving at Hong Kong International Airport. The MTR plus short walks or taxis are the most convenient options for navigating into and around Tai Hang.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): HKG is the main arrival point. From the airport the fastest public route is the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station (about 24 minutes, HKD 115 single), then MTR or taxi to Tai Hang (transfer at Central to the Island Line and alight at Causeway Bay or Tin Hau and walk/short taxi).
Helipads / regional options: Not applicable for routine travel to Tai Hang.
Train: Tai Hang itself does not have its own MTR station named ‘Tai Hang’ (the area sits between Tin Hau and Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island). Use Tin Hau or Causeway Bay MTR stations on the Island Line for the nearest stops; from either station it’s a short walk into Tai Hang.
Bus: Multiple bus routes run along King’s Road, Tin Hau and Causeway Bay linking Tai Hang with Central, North Point and other districts. Fares vary by distance; use an Octopus card for convenience.
How to Get Around Tai Hang #
Tai Hang is compact and very walkable; it sits between Tin Hau and Causeway Bay so the MTR (Tin Hau/Causeway Bay nearby), buses and minibuses make it easy to reach. Expect steep lanes and stairs in places; short taxi rides are common for heavier loads or late-night returns.
