Tablas Island is the largest island of Romblon province in the Mimaropa region of the Philippines. It is a sizable inhabited island with towns, agricultural land and coastal settlements.

The island offers sandy beaches, coral-fringed coasts and rural interior landscapes used for farming and fishing. Visitors use local towns as bases for beach visits, snorkeling and island-hopping to nearby smaller islands.

Tablas has long been settled and is organized into several municipalities that developed around fishing, small-scale agriculture and local trade. Modern transport connections are dominated by ferries and small inter-island vessels.

Tablas lies in the Sibuyan Sea within the central Philippines, north of Mindoro and southeast of Panay. The island’s main towns provide the primary points of access for travelers arriving by boat.
