Tablas Island Travel Guide
One of the three main islands in the Romblon group, Tablas is the largest and has a charm that stems from its ability to mix a handful of tourist amenities with unspoiled nature.
Odiongan is the main town with a pretty port area, and Looc Bay completes the main menu of places to stay. The rest of the villages and towns are smaller with less tourist infrastructure but are great for explorative daytrips through the quiet streets.
Relatively undeveloped but with just enough to keep visitors occupied for a few days, Tablas has an interesting landscape to explore, with an eclectic mixture of hills, waterfalls and coastline. The beaches are rivaled only by those on the neighboring islands in the archipelago and the sea is packed with marine life.
Mainit Falls are found here and although they are located on private property, the owners of the land encourage visitors to enjoy the deep pools and discover the surrounding area. Diving and snorkeling are among the most strenuous activities on the island and the local college students enjoy practicing their English with new visitors.
