How to Get to Suong
Suong (Tboung Khmum province) is reached overland from Phnom Penh by bus or private transfer. Scheduled minibuses and regional bus companies provide the easiest public transport; trains are not a practical option.
Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH): The main international gateway for southern and central Cambodia. From Phnom Penh take a bus or minivan to Kampong Cham and onward to Suong; typical road travel time to Suong is about 2-3 hours and fares are roughly US$4-7 by scheduled bus or minivan. Taxis or private transfers take similar time but cost more (roughly US$30-50).
Siem Reap / Other airports: Siem Reap is much further away; for Suong the practical air route is via Phnom Penh and then overland transport.
Train: Cambodia’s passenger rail network is limited and does not provide a practical public rail connection to Suong.
Bus / Minivan: Buses and minivans from Phnom Penh (departing from various bus terminals such as Kandal or Borey Sros) serve towns along National Road 7 and routes toward Kampong Cham and Suong. Expect fares of about US$4-7 and journey times of 2-3 hours depending on service and traffic. Local tuk‑tuks and motos handle last‑mile travel around town.
