How to Get to Sistiana
Sistiana (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) lies on the Gulf of Trieste and is best reached via Trieste (TRS) or Trieste Centrale train station. From Trieste take a local bus or short taxi ride to Sistiana and the nearby coast.
Trieste Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS): The closest airport for Sistiana (roughly 200 minutes by car to nearby Duino/Trieste area). Taxis and regional buses/airport shuttles run between TRS and Trieste city; expect short transfer times and modest taxi fares.
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): A larger international option; from Venice travel by train to Trieste (roughly 2 hours) and then take a local bus or taxi to Sistiana, or continue by car along the coast.
Train: Trieste Centrale is the main rail hub. From Trieste you can take local buses (Trieste Trasporti) to Sistiana or a taxi; the rail network does not stop in Sistiana itself, so Trieste is the rail interchange.
