How to Get to Duino

Duino sits on the Gulf of Trieste and is easily reached via Trieste's regional airport (TRS) or by rail from Trieste and Monfalcone. The town itself has a small station on the Venice-Trieste line and local buses for short transfers.

By Air

Trieste - Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS, Ronchi dei Legionari): The nearest airport for Duino. From TRS you can take a regional bus to Trieste central station or Monfalcone, then a short train to Duino; total travel time is typically 30-60 minutes and combined fares are commonly around €5-15. Taxis from the airport to Duino take about 25-40 minutes and cost noticeably more (around €50-80).

Venice Marco Polo (VCE): A larger international option if you have more flight choices.
